The Handstand sculpture depicts a pair of acrobatic pantomimes executing one-handed handstands with the playful energy of street performers. These tumblers conjure the human condition, dreams and emotions with aestheticized body language that helps us see and hear the invisible. They use the body alone to communicate feelings that are as fleeting as they are recognizable. Hand texturing on a smooth impasto surface. Gilt metal. White marble.
